An exquisite gents ornate Art Nouveau period 18ct gold diamond ring
A very unusual and quite exquisite Art Nouveau period diamond ring, one would imagine an ideal gents pinky finger piece but could be worn by just about anyone.
Such is the quality of this piece, initially and on first sight you could be forgiven for thinking it to be from the Georgian period but closer inspection shows it to be a later piece, circa 1890-1900.
Set with a gorgeous European old cut diamond that is approximately 2.5cts with a substantial and hefty weight of 21 grams of 18ct gold.
The diamond itself is typical quality from this period, being old cut the clarity and colour is not as high as its modern counterparts but this is obviously reflected in the price. I estimate the quality to be approximately J / Si3 but the diamond is very lively and sparkly.
This ring has barely been worn over the years and has just had a full clean and polish. The 18ct Rose Gold shank is beautifully decorated and chased. Size is approximately P 1/2 (UK) or 8 (US) without the balls that are currently set inside of the ring or K (5.5 US) with the balls.
I supplied this ring to its previous owner sometime ago and they had the balls put into the shank. I am now delighted to have this ring back in stock for a second time as I look for a larger piece as an upgrade for my client.
Comes with a nice period box, insurance valuation for twice the sale price and a certificate of authenticity.
Seven day money back guarantee as always.
